The County of Bucks Commissioners in partnership with the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority, presented a grant of $25,000 to the non-profit organization Bucks Beautiful to help the organization in their RePlant Bucks initiative.
The grant will enable Bucks Beautiful to plant young trees through out county ensuring that Bucks County's beautiful landscape is not tarnished due to the loss of thousands of mature trees from disease, invasive insects and storm damage. The loss of so many trees in Bucks County's landscape could have a devastating effect on the county's tourism industry which contributes over a billion dollars in revenue and employs more than 29,000 people.
